Frequently asked questions.

How much does it cost?

We offer production for a wide variety of sizes and uses and while it is hard to tie down a specific cost, we always aim to be affordable, while offering competitive rates to ensure that we are offering a fair rate for crew. For commercial projects, we offer APA rates as this is the standard throughout the industry, but for fiction we align with BECTU rates and for corporate it falls somewhere in between.

What is the process?

The process starts with simple enquiry and from there, each process is different. It is great for us if clients have an idea of what kind of budget they are working with so that we can suggest what is possible within that budget, or even a budget range. If, however, you are looking for a project to be fully priced up based on a brief, we can do so and suggest a budget range that might offer you some options. From there, we start the creative process, of concept, approval, storyboarding, logistics, prep-day, shoot day, strike, rough assembly, first cut, sound mastering, scoring, colour grading. Some clients just want a crew though, or a smaller scale project, for which we will offer a service that is as hassle free as possible for you, where we have a skilled, professional team taking care of your needs and time.

What is a multi-skilled team?

This is usually what we offer for more corporate-style productions, where rather than a defined and de-facto production, members of the crew share roles often times and as a result operate as a smaller team for more low-key productions. This is particularly helpful in the business world, where companies often do not want a massive crew coming into their office. Instead, we might suggest a team of 4 people to come in and shoot, where there is a self-shooting director and a camera assistant who also knows about lighting for example. None of our models for operation are set in stone, but they offer more of a guide.

Why film?

Film is relevant more than ever and is only becoming more prevalent. For us, we love to create moving images that create an emotional response, there is no question that we absolutely love what we do.
